The Vision of Our Founders

Saint Nicholas School was founded in 1987 by James L. McKey and Margot T. Heard, who shared a vision of creating a nurturing educational environment. James L. McKey played a pivotal role in organizing the school as a private independent institution, securing property and building a campus that would serve families with a classical and Montessori-inspired program. Margot T. Heard, as a co-founding partner, brought her passion for education and commitment to excellence.
