The Founder’s Vision

James L. McKey, along with Margot T. Heard, founded Saint Nicholas School in 1987 with a vision to create a nurturing educational environment. He worked tirelessly to secure property and build a campus that would serve families seeking a classical and Montessori-inspired program. Margot T. Heard, as a co-founding partner, shared this vision, and together they laid the foundation for a school that prioritizes both academic excellence and character development.
